Plan an Instagram carousel with AI
You will have a ready slide plan, drafted text for every slide, and a consistent look you can reuse.
Before you start
- One idea you can explain in five points
- An AI assistant
- A design or image tool you already use
Start with the structure
A carousel works when each slide does one job. Plan the jobs before any words or pictures.
- Slide 1 is the cover. It promises one clear thing.
- Slides 2 to 6 each make one point, in the order a reader needs them.
- The last slide asks for one action, such as save, follow or visit.
Draft the words
Turn the idea below into a seven-slide carousel. For each slide give a headline of up to six words and one supporting line of up to fifteen words. Slide 1 is a cover that promises one clear benefit. The last slide asks for one action. Use only my idea and do not add facts. Idea: [paste your idea]
Read every slide aloud. Cut anything that sounds like filler, and replace anything that is not true or not in your voice.
Set the look with one reference
Choose one carousel whose style you like. Write down its colours, the type of font and how much empty space it has. Use those same notes for every slide so the set looks consistent.
Do not copy another creator’s artwork. Use the reference to learn the style, then make your own.
Build and check
- Make slide 1 first and get it right.
- Copy its settings for each other slide.
- Check spelling on every slide, especially text an image tool made.
- Read the slides in order on your phone.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Putting three ideas on one slide
- Trusting text rendered inside AI images without checking it
- Changing the look on each slide
- Copying another creator’s artwork
Final checklist
- Each slide has one job
- The cover promises one clear thing
- The last slide has one action
- I checked all text on my phone
