Interactive simulation prompt pack

You will have a prompt that builds a simple simulation, plus prompts to test and improve it.

Before you start

  • An AI assistant, free plan is fine
  • A real task to try the prompts on

How to use this pack

These prompts ask an assistant to write simple web page code. Run the result only in your browser, and read what it does before sharing it. Start with the first prompt, then use the others one at a time.

Build it

First version

Write a single HTML file, with no outside libraries, that shows a simple particle simulation of [concept]. Include two sliders: [control 1] and [control 2]. Keep the code under 150 lines and add a comment above each part explaining what it does.

Test it

Check behaviour

Explain how the simulation above works step by step. List three situations where it might behave wrongly, such as extreme slider values, and how I can test each.

Try the sliders at their lowest and highest values. Note anything that looks wrong.

Improve it

Make it clearer

Add labels to the sliders and a one-line explanation of what the viewer is seeing. Make the text large enough to read on a phone.

Keep it honest

Add a short note at the bottom saying this is a simplified model and not a real measurement.

Before you share

  • Check it does not load anything from another website.
  • Do not add forms or ask visitors for details.
  • Test on a phone.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Sharing code you have not read
  • Treating a simplified model as real data
  • Adding many features at once
  • Skipping the phone test

Final checklist

  • I ran it in my browser
  • I tested the slider limits
  • I labelled it as a simplified model
